Istinto finishing material is a mineral, 100% natural decorative plaster that does not contain acrylic binders, which was developed by Giorgio Graesan & Friends for the implementation of all kinds of decorative effects (textures) with a layer thickness of up to 3 cm.

Istinto decorative plaster is not just a textured mass; it is the ancestor of such decorative effects as travertine, crushed or polished stone, created by paints and plasters.

A modern interpretation of travertine decor from Giorgio Graesan & Friends is called “Pietra Spaccata”. It is especially often used in modern interiors as an accent wall, where wall decoration plays a key role in the interior.

The Pietra Spaccata effect is a modern and quite popular wall decor in which Istinto textured plaster from Giorgio Graesan & Friends serves as the base layer of decor, and Colore & Gioia acts as a finishing decor, adding a “metallic” effect over the entire treated surface. This decor is made in a tone-on-tone style, which means that Segui Il Tuo Istinto and Colore & Gioia are used in the same colour – 2SC (black).

Applying the texture (Istinto plaster) in just one layer requires smoothing and polishing the surface in several approaches. Depending on the desired decorative effect, decorative paint Colore & Gioia should be applied to a dehydrated texture in one or two layers.

After completely drying the finishing layer, the surface can be wet-cleaned and resistant to mechanical stress. If necessary, any small chips or scratches can be corrected locally without any traces of repair.

To ensure almost complete moisture resistance, we recommend additionally applying Vetro protective material, which provides the best performance characteristics and moisture resistance indicators for this decor.
